LEARN MORE ABOUT HOW FEEDING AFFECTS COLIC, REFLUX AND ALLERGIES

If you have supported families with infants suffering from reflux, colic, or undiagnosed allergies, you are aware of the significant challenges and often unpleasant experiences these conditions can present. This can lead to a sense of desperation, prompting attempts to try any potential remedy. Starting with over-the-counter solutions like Infacol and gripe water, this often escalates to seeking medical interventions such as Gaviscon and Omeprazole. These interventions are so commonly used that they have become normalized; however, it is worth considering whether they might be exacerbating the problem.

During this session, we will explore these conditions from an infant feeding perspective, and I will share my insights and approach as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

It is important to note that I am NOT a medical professional, and that I am not able to define these conditions in a medical capacity. However I hope to give you pause if you find yourself reaching for infacol or similar.

All educational sessions are currently scheduled when possible around my lactation work. Due to the nature of the role, they can sometimes pop up at short notice. For the moment, each opportunity will be posted to my dedicated CPD facebook page, which you can join below.
